The Velveteen Bean Bear Company Ltd. introduced their beautifully crafted bears in 1982 and today there are over 70 in all.  In our first selection we are offering many of the most popular ones and others will be added regularly.

Each bear is individually handmade and, as you can see from this picture, with intricately detailed costumes which give instant recognition to the character depicted.   High quality materials are used throughout and the exterior of each bear and its costume is made with veleteen, a cotton based material with a short dense pile that gives a velvet like appearance and touch .  The bears measure approximately 20 cms in height.

They usually behave better when seated!
